This heavily illustrated book is designed for everyone involved in workplace ergonomics – from the engineer to the ergonomics coordinator, as well as graduate and undergraduate students. The book codifies a set of principles and rules that can be applied to make ergonomic improvements in various work settings.
Written in down-to-earth language, the material is based in the practical experience of the author, one of the founders of the field of contemporary workplace ergonomics. Part I provides a set of principles and rules for designing tools, equipment and workstations. Part II describes common methods of measurement, complete with tables and formulas.
